Burns Road ki dahi Phulki

Burns Road ki dahi Phulki is a Pakistani dish which is made in karachi.In this dish Yogurt is used and then fried fritters which are made from lentil,are soaked in it.It is served with special spice(masala).A very delicious recipe for tea parties or iftar parties.Enjoy the recipe :)

White lentil 250 gm
Crushed red pepper 1 tsp
White cumin 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Baking powder 1 tsp
Water as required
Yogurt whipped 1 kg
Icing sugar 5 tbsp heaped
Chat Masala 1 tsp
Tamarind chutney 4 tbsp
Coriander leaves 1 tbsp

Soak 250gm white lentil for 6 hours, drain water, put in blender with 1 tsp crushed red pepper, 1 tsp whole white cumin, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking powder and ½ cup water, blend well, deep fry baras in frying pan, soak in hot salted water, beat 1 kg yogurt, strain and mix with 5 tbsp icing sugar, remove baras from water, remove all the water by pressing in between your palms.

To Serve
Put 1 cup yogurt into a serving dish, arrange baras, cover with remaining yogurt on top, sprinkle 1 tsp chat Masala, drizzle with 4 tbsp tamarind chutney and 1 tbsp coriander leaves, serve chilled.
